About File Manager

More than a file manager. A practical cloud operations platform built for people who manage servers, backups, files, and teams every day.

Why This Platform Exists

This platform was built from hands-on server work, not from theory. Over the years, managing projects, handling client requirements, and maintaining live environments made one thing clear: server operations were too fragmented. File management lived in one tool, backups in another, terminal access somewhere else, and team collaboration had no clean control layer.

That kind of workflow slows teams down. It creates context switching, repeated logins, avoidable mistakes, and operational risk. When important tasks are spread across disconnected interfaces, even routine work becomes harder than it should be.

That is where this software started.
The goal was simple: bring core server work into one place. Manage files, run backups, share files securely, save commands, keep notes, and let teams work with controlled access, all from a single platform.

The result is not just another utility. It is a practical operations layer for people who need speed, visibility, security, and control in their day-to-day server workflow. If you manage cloud servers for your own business, for clients, or as part of a growing technical team, this platform is built to make that work simpler and more reliable.

Security and Trust

Your saved server passwords are protected at rest

When you save server credentials in this platform, the server passwords are stored in encrypted form inside the database, not as readable plain text. They are not returned in normal server API responses or prefilled back into the edit form. The platform only decrypts them inside authenticated runtime workflows when it needs to connect to your server on your behalf. User account passwords are handled even more strictly: they are stored as hashed values, which means no admin can view a user's actual login password in plain text.

Protected Authentication

User authentication is built around JWT-based access control, while passwords and verification values such as support PINs and security answers are stored as hashed values instead of plain text. This reduces exposure and strengthens account-level protection.

How User Data Is Stored

User account all data are stored in structured database tables linked to each account. Sensitive data such as passwords, security answers, support PINs, file passwords, and session tokens are stored as hashed or protected values, not plain text.

Session Visibility and Control

Users can review active sessions, see device and activity details, revoke specific sessions, and sign out from other devices when needed. Session tokens are stored in hashed form, adding another layer of protection to account access management.

Granular Team Permissions

Team access is not all-or-nothing. Owners can control who can view files, manage backups, access terminals, use saved commands, manage sharing, or work on specific servers. This helps teams collaborate without giving away unrestricted infrastructure access.

Secure Server Access

Remote server operations are handled through SSH and SFTP-based connectivity, helping keep file transfers and server interactions inside trusted access methods commonly used for production infrastructure.

Protected Sensitive Values

The platform also supports encryption for selected sensitive values and backup workflows where configured. This adds protection for operational secrets and helps reduce unnecessary exposure of high-risk data inside the system.

Controlled File Sharing

Shared files can be protected with secure tokens, optional passwords, expiration times, and download limits. Access attempts and downloads can also be tracked, which makes external sharing more controlled and accountable.

Auditability and Activity Logs

Important actions such as file sharing, terminal access, logouts, and team activity can be logged for review. Combined with terminal command history and access records, this creates stronger operational visibility for both owners and teams.

Core Features

Everything you need to manage cloud server operations in one structured workflow.

Cloud Server File Management

Manage remote and cloud server files, folders, and access from one place with a workflow designed for speed, control, and everyday reliability.

  • Browse remote server files and folders through a clean, centralized interface
  • Upload, download, rename, delete, and organize files without leaving the platform
  • Monitor server activity through a more structured management workflow
  • Access a built-in terminal for direct server operations when file access alone is not enough
  • Track terminal command history for visibility, review, and accountability
  • Use secure SSH and SFTP-based access for safer remote file handling
  • Let team members manage assigned servers without exposing full server credentials
  • Control server access with assignment-based permissions for each user
  • Speed up repeated work with a quicker, more productivity-friendly file workflow

Free Backup System

Backup is not optional. It is part of business continuity, operational confidence, and day-to-day risk control. This platform makes backup workflows accessible, automated, and practical.

  • Start protecting important data with backup workflows available from the beginning
  • Run manual backups when needed or schedule recurring backups for routine protection
  • Automate daily, weekly, or custom backup schedules to reduce manual work
  • Use multi-layer backup logic for more dependable backup coverage
  • Review backup history and tracking data to verify completed operations
  • Manage multiple backup tasks separately for better control over different workloads
  • Grant backup permissions only to authorized team members
  • Scale backup capacity and flexibility as business needs grow

Secure and Controlled File-Sharing System

File sharing should be easy, but it should never be uncontrolled. This platform turns file sharing into a secure, trackable, and professional workflow.

  • Create secure share links for files that need to move outside your main workspace
  • Add password protection so only approved recipients can access shared content
  • Set expiry times for temporary access and short-lived delivery links
  • Control how many times a file can be downloaded with download limits
  • Track views and downloads for better operational visibility
  • Disable links instantly whenever access needs to be stopped
  • Keep public sharing simpler for recipients while reducing unnecessary exposure
  • Support cleaner client delivery, internal collaboration, and temporary file access

Saved Commands

Repeating the same commands over and over wastes time. Saved commands make technical work faster, more consistent, and easier to reuse across routine operations.

  • Save frequently used server commands for faster reuse
  • Improve technical team productivity with a reusable command library
  • Store deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleanup commands in one place
  • Reduce typing mistakes by reusing tested command patterns
  • Keep command usage more standardized across team environments
  • Control who can view, add, or remove saved commands with permission-based access
  • Connect terminal workflows with command management for quicker operations
  • Turn repeated technical work into a cleaner and more scalable process

Notes System

Important information gets lost easily in busy operations. Notes keep context, reminders, and references close to the work where they are actually needed.

  • Store instructions, server details, reminders, and internal references in one place
  • Keep communication and operational thinking more organized for teams
  • Reduce scattered information across chats, documents, and memory-based workflows
  • Preserve context for ongoing work so tasks remain easier to continue later
  • Use notes as quick references for onboarding, maintenance, and follow-up tasks
  • Support both individual productivity and team coordination
  • Capture workflow-related thoughts, decisions, and references in a structured way
  • Strengthen operational continuity and knowledge retention over time

Team Management

Team access should be structured and secure. This system lets you work with multiple users under one account model without losing control over servers, permissions, or accountability.

  • Use a clear owner-and-member structure for cleaner account control
  • Create sub-users to bring team members into a shared workflow
  • Assign team members to specific servers instead of exposing everything
  • Control file operations, backups, terminal access, commands, and more with granular permissions
  • Let teams work on servers without directly sharing full server credentials
  • Decide exactly which member can work on which server
  • Maintain accountability through activity logs and command history
  • Scale team operations with structured limits that fit business growth
  • Support agencies, technical teams, support operations, and growing businesses more effectively
